Orbs and The Samples band

TS1

Sean Kelly introduces the percussionist of the band The Samples who were playing at the Bisbee Royale on December 1, 2012.

The orbs hovered expectantly.

TS2

When the band began playing the orbs started to light up in response.

TS3

In the above photo I would like to draw your attention to the bright pink orb in the upper left. I also like the way the orbs are arching over the percussionist and anchoring the arch to Sean Kelly in the center.

TS5

Photographing orbs at the Bisbee Royale includes the fun of sharing bright orbs easily seen on my camera’s view screen with fellow guests.

TS7

I like the patterns the orbs make, such as the line snaking above the drummer.

TS8

And, it’s interesting to see how the orbs are zeroing in on the keyboardist.

TS9

This photograph interests me because although the musicians are out of focus, the orbs are perfectly clear.

TS11

Again, I like the pattern of the orbs.

TS12

In this photo, I’d like you to notice the blue orbs at the top of the proscenium.

TS13

Sean Kelly is the songwriter and leader of The Samples, a band that formed in 1987 in Boulder, Colorado, and got their name from the first members’ sustenance of food samples from a local grocery store.

TS14

In this photograph we have blue and pink orbs.

TS15

My thanks to Sean Kelly and The Samples who provided an evening rich in warmly toned songs and excited orbs.

Thank you also to the folks at the Bisbee Royale for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests and performers, whatever dimension they may be inhabiting.

For those of you who are new to this blog, or would like to refresh your memory as to what orbs are, perhaps this will help: https://orbsdelight.wordpress.com/2012/11/17/photographing-orbs/

    1. Yes, I use a flash and I try not to take too many photos per song so as not to be too obnoxious. But, if a performer is building up to a loud pitch then I’m out of my chair and ready to photograph the orbs who respond to intensity.

Sorry you’re still having difficulty finding the right light levels for orbs. Keep experimenting and they might get the hint you are really interested.

      1. I can feel them and do get a variety of numbers in the pictures. There’s a lot of color in them too. It’s a long story, but I just balanced my chakras. They were a worse mess than I thought. I’m going back out to see if that makes any difference from when out earlier. Will let you know.

  1. This is so awesome!!! I love the colors and the way the orbs move in response to the music. I would be so excited about the orbs, I wouldn’t hear the music! Beautiful!!!!

    1. It’s true I get a little distracted by the orbs, especially when I’m sharing the wonder of them with my friends during the performance. For many of them, it’s the first time they’ve heard of or encountered orbs. But, I do also have to stay on touch with the music to anticipate when the orbs will respond brightly.

  2. found you through Leanne Cole Photography…I’ve only recently heard of orbs, didn’t know what they were all about so thanks for including the link at the bottom of this post.

    1. Thank you for your interest, Heather. I realized that I couldn’t continue to let the explanation get buried in the archives, so it tags along with each posting now.
