Introducing a Delightful painting of Orbs plus Two Nominations

Standard

Christmas orbs painting

I would like to introduce you to an amazing artist, Jacqueline Petingi, who was so inspired by my blog, Orbs Delight, that she created this wonderful painting. One of those proud, yet humbling honors.

I would also like to thank Jacquie Bloggera for nominating Orbs Delight for the Blog of the Year 2012 Award. A true honor from such a gifted artist. Please visit her at http://jacquelinepetingi.wordpress.com/ for insights into the life of a dedicated writer and painter.

There is a formality to these awards which causes us to stretch beyond our meagre shores and reach across the world to give high 5’s to fellow travelers on the path of discovery and passion for knowledge. With the hail fellow well met handshake I would like to nominate two more blogs for the Blog of the Year 2012 Award:

Jacquie Blogger at http://jacquelinepetingi.wordpress.com/ for introducing me to the considerations of an artist

and

Some Photos & Fancies at http://ellenpardee.wordpress.com/ for taking one thought and surprising you with another totally unexpected consideration.

Well Deserved!!

Blog of the Year 2012 Award

The “Blog of the Year” award is a little different from some other awards, because you accumulate stars. Here is a link to go to for more information about this award: ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/

Here are the ‘rules’ for this award:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/ and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them.

5 You can now also join our Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience.

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

6 stars image

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favorite blogs, and even if they have already been given the award by someone else, then you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

  2. Why thank you – I’m surprised and delighted! I’m sure you have all six starts now, if not please let me know – I’d love to help you complete your collection. And the painting is beautiful and evocative. Congratulations on reaching a person with such flair.

    • It is my pleasure that you are Delighted! No, I’m actually not that popular that I have reached 6 stars. But, I have enjoyed the nomination process even though it takes me out of an insular blogger’s life.
